Detached ADU
A separate, self-contained unit built in the yard, with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. The most private option and the one that usually adds the most value.
ADU & home additions
We build accessory dwelling units from the ground up — detached, attached, and garage conversions — and we handle every phase ourselves, from the foundation to the final coat of paint. Licensed, Lic. #930755, with over 30 years of residential construction behind us.
ADU & home additions
Four ways to add living space to a property. Which one fits depends on your lot, your setbacks and what you want out of the space — we walk the property with you before anyone draws a line.

A new unit built onto the existing house, sharing a wall. Makes sense when the lot is tight or you want to keep the utility runs short.
Turning an existing garage into a finished living space. The footing and walls are already there, so it is often the fastest route to a permitted unit.
Extra bedrooms, a bigger kitchen, a second story or a sunroom — more space inside the house you already have, tied into the existing structure.

FAQ
An ADU — accessory dwelling unit — is a second, smaller home on a lot that already has a house. It has its own kitchen, bathroom, sleeping area and entrance. People build them for family, for rental income, or for a home office or studio.
Yes. An ADU is a permitted structure and it has to be inspected. We coordinate the plans and the permit process with your city or county so the paperwork moves alongside the build instead of holding it up.
Usually, yes. The slab and the walls are already standing, which is why a garage conversion is often the quickest path to a finished unit. What decides it is the condition of the existing structure, the setbacks and whether the utilities can reach. We look at all three on the first visit.
It depends on the type, the size and how fast permits clear — a garage conversion and a detached new build are not the same job. We give you a written schedule with your estimate, and you get weekly updates once we start, so you always know where the project stands.
We coordinate them. We work with your plans if you already have them, or with your architect if you do not, and we handle the permit process with the city so you are not the one chasing it.
The whole build. Foundation, framing, roof, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, finishes — all of it, with our own crews on the structural work. That is the point of hiring one contractor instead of five.
